Descriptions and Product Information
We do our very best to ensure that all descriptions and product information displayed on our website are as accurate as possible. All images are for illustrative purposes only. Before placing your order, please check the required size, width, height and fabric carefully. We recommend requesting a free fabric swatch so that you can see and feel your chosen material before placing your order. We make every effort to display our fabrics as accurately as possible. However, colours may vary depending on your screen settings. Please note that fabric colours may also vary slightly from one roll to another. We will not begin manufacturing your order if we believe that the swatches previously sent to you are significantly different from the fabric we currently have in stock. Due to standard commercial tolerances, slight variations in measurements may occur. All headboards are pictured with a pillow stop. A pillow stop is an optional extra and will not be automatically included with your order.
Availability
All of our headboards are made to order, and we hold a wide range of fabrics that are usually available in stock. If your chosen fabric is not in stock, we can normally obtain it from our fabric suppliers through next-day delivery. If the fabric is unavailable from the supplier, we will contact you immediately to explain the situation. We strongly recommend requesting a free swatch of your preferred fabric so that you can see the exact colour and feel the material before placing your order. Please note that fabric colours may appear differently on screen due to variations in screen settings and resolution. Headboards are usually delivered within 14 working days of purchase. Faster delivery may be available in most cases by upgrading your order to our Express service.
Cancellations
All of our products are manufactured according to your individual requirements and choice of fabric. Therefore, each item is custom-made and cannot be resold by us. As made-to-order products are created to your specifications, you may not have the right to cancel your order once manufacturing has begun, except where we have failed to manufacture the product you ordered or where required by applicable consumer law. If your item arrives faulty or defective, we will inspect it and, once the fault has been confirmed, manufacture a replacement item for you.
Payment
Headboards Ltd accepts all major credit and debit cards for purchases made through our online store. We take our customers’ security seriously and want you to feel safe when purchasing online. For this reason, we use Stripe, a leading online payment gateway provider, to securely process all online transactions. Stripe is certified as a PCI Service Provider Level 1, which is the highest level of certification available within the payment industry. Headboards Ltd receives confirmation that your payment has been completed but does not receive or store your card details. Stripe encrypts card numbers at rest using AES-256 encryption, with decryption keys stored separately. If your card transaction does not pass the required security checks, no payment will be taken, and we reserve the right to place your order on hold. In these circumstances, a member of our customer service team will contact you to discuss an alternative payment method. Once full payment has been received and your order has been accepted, it will be manufactured and delivered within the stated delivery timeframe.
Fire and Safety Regulations
If you provide your own fabric for us to use when manufacturing your headboard, it is your responsibility to ensure that the fabric complies with all relevant fire and safety regulations. If you are placing an order for commercial use, including use in hotels or serviced apartments, please do not place your order online. Instead, contact us by telephone or email, as your headboard may need to be manufactured to specific commercial fire and safety standards.
Delivery
We provide nationwide delivery through a third-party courier network. As a specialist manufacturer of bespoke beds, headboards and bed slats, we do not operate our own delivery vehicles. Couriers provide kerbside or doorstep delivery only and, in most cases, will not carry parcels upstairs or into the property. If you live in a flat, delivery will usually be made to the main entrance of the building rather than directly to your flat. Although we make every effort to ensure that orders are delivered on the agreed date, we rely on third-party courier services and occasional delays may occur. We cannot accept responsibility for late deliveries or for any costs incurred by customers or tradespeople who are unable to work because of a delivery delay. Please ensure that you have received your order before arranging for any tradespeople to begin work. Our responsibility is to manufacture your order and provide it to the courier for delivery. Tracking information is available for all orders dispatched through the courier network.
Non-Mainland UK Delivery
Although we do our best to serve all areas of the UK, courier restrictions may prevent us from delivering to certain locations. Deliveries to areas including the Scottish Highlands, Scottish islands, the Isle of Wight, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly and Northern Ireland may be subject to additional courier charges. Where delivery is available, our Customer Service Team will contact you to arrange payment of the additional cost. Please contact us before placing your order if delivery is required to one of these areas so that we can confirm availability and provide details of any applicable courier surcharge. If we are unable to arrange delivery because of courier restrictions, or if the additional delivery charges are not paid, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your order.
Standard Delivery
Our standard delivery service is available throughout mainland UK and usually takes approximately 14 working days from the date your order is placed. Delivery costs are £15 for the first headboard and £10 for each additional headboard, or £40 for the first bed and £30 for each additional bed. If you are placing a large order, please contact us directly to discuss the available delivery options and rates. Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Isles of Scilly may be subject to additional courier charges. Please contact us before placing your order for current delivery prices to these areas.
Express Delivery
We also offer an express manufacturing service for headboards, with three-working-day and five-working-day options available. Please contact us before placing your order if you require your headboard urgently so that we can confirm availability and the applicable charge. We may also be able to deliver headboards outside mainland UK. Please contact us with the full delivery address, and a member of our Sales Team will provide you with a quotation.
Further Delivery Information
When your order is ready for dispatch, a member of our team will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery day. You will also receive an email from the courier containing a unique tracking number, allowing you to track your order through the courier’s tracking system. We use a next-working-day courier service; however, because we rely on a third-party courier, we cannot guarantee that delivery will take place on the specified day. The majority of orders arrive on time, but delays may occasionally occur. We are unable to provide a specific delivery time, although deliveries are usually made between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Deliveries are normally made by DX and should arrive in good condition. Please inspect the packaging carefully when your order is delivered, as every delivery must be signed for. If there is any visible damage, you must sign for the delivery as “damaged” so that we can submit a claim to the courier and arrange a replacement where appropriate. We may be unable to accept a damage claim if the delivery was not signed for as damaged. If your order does not arrive on the agreed day, we are unable to refund the delivery charge, as the courier will still charge for the service when delivery is successfully completed. We are also unable to compensate customers for failed or delayed deliveries caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If you are unavailable to sign for your delivery, you may leave instructions asking the courier to place the parcel in a safe location; however, this is done entirely at your own risk and is not recommended.
Storage
As a manufacturer, we are unable to provide long-term storage for completed orders. All orders must be dispatched within 10 days of completion, and our team will contact you by telephone or email when your order is ready. Orders that are not dispatched within 10 days of completion will be subject to a storage charge of £10 per day, which must be paid in full before delivery can be arranged.
Damage
Any damage must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery so that we can submit a claim to the courier. We may be unable to accept claims submitted after this period. Please inspect the parcel carefully for any visible damage to the packaging before accepting the delivery. If the parcel is visibly damaged, you must sign for it as “damaged”, as this will allow us to submit a courier claim if the goods need to be replaced. If the parcel is not signed for as damaged, we may be unable to make a claim against the courier.
Returns Policy
All of our upholstered headboards are manufactured to order, and returns are therefore not accepted unless the product is delivered in a damaged or defective condition. Every order is inspected by our Quality Control Team before dispatch to ensure that it meets our standards. Our products are carefully packaged and delivered by a trusted UK courier to help ensure that they arrive in good condition. In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, we will make every effort to provide a replacement as soon as possible, provided that the delivery was signed for as “damaged” and that you contact us within the applicable reporting period. We may be unable to accept claims submitted after this period. As our products are made to your individual specifications, you may not have the right to cancel or amend your order after it has been accepted and manufacturing has begun, except where required by applicable consumer law. To avoid disappointment, please check all measurements carefully before placing your order to ensure that the headboard will fit your bed. Please contact us before ordering if you have any questions or concerns about our products. We also strongly recommend ordering free fabric samples so that you can see and feel the material before placing your order, as colours may appear differently depending on your screen settings.
