Custom 2ft 6 Upholstered Headboards – Ideal for Small Single Beds (750mm / 75cm / 30")
Our small single 2ft 6 headboards are handmade to order in our Berkhamsted workshop, combining traditional craftsmanship with full customisation. These compact headboards are designed for UK small single beds, measuring 750mm x 1900mm, and are perfect for children’s rooms, guest beds, or zip and link king-size setups.
We manufacture these headboards at a standard width of 770mm (30 inches), offering a subtle overhang beyond the mattress edge for a well-proportioned finish. However, if you’d prefer the headboard to sit flush with the mattress, we can also make it at 750mm wide on request.
Our small single collection includes over 30 upholstered headboard designs, ranging from modern to traditional styles. Choose from shaped, plain, piped, buttoned, or fluted panel finishes — all available in a range of custom heights to match your interior and preferred proportions.
Mounting options are flexible: headboards can be supplied as bed mounted using struts (with a strut spacing of 18 inches on small singles), wall mounted, or as floor standing units. This allows for simple fitting, whether you're attaching to an existing divan or starting from scratch.
Each headboard is fully padded and upholstered by hand, using your selected fabric from a curated library of over 150 materials — including natural linen, luxurious velvet, and textured wool. You’re also welcome to provide your own material. Free fabric swatches are available to help you make the right choice before placing an order.
To complete your setup, we offer upholstered 2ft 6 bed frames in matching fabric — available in standard or longer 2ft 6 lengths, ideal for taller sleepers or use in zip and link king-size combinations. We also make coordinating fabric bed valances (bed skirts) to ensure every detail is covered.

The longer option is ideal for taller sleepers or for use in zip and link king-size combinations, where two 2ft 6 beds are joined to form a full UK king. We also make coordinating fabric bed valances (bed skirts) to ensure every detail is covered.
