Our collection of European small single headboards is designed specifically to fit 80cm x 200cm (800mm x 2000mm) beds — a common mattress size across Europe. Whether you're furnishing a compact guest room, child's bedroom or sourcing for a European bed frame, these headboards provide tailored design, comfort, and quality.

Each headboard is made to a standard width of 800mm (31.5 inches), with fully customisable height and fabric options. If you require a slightly wider or taller headboard for a specific frame or visual style, we can accommodate your request.

With over 30 headboard designs to choose from — including contemporary, traditional, and shaped styles — you can create the perfect focal point. Finishes range from plain padded and buttoned to piped and panelled/fluted, with all styles available in various heights to suit your space and taste.

Mounting options include:

• Bed mounting using headboard struts
• Wall mounting at your desired height
• Floor standing for easy setup and added presence

Each piece is hand upholstered and padded in our Berkhamsted workshop, using your selected material from over 150 upholstery fabrics. These include textured linen, soft wool, luxurious velvet, and more. You're also welcome to supply your own fabric, and we provide free fabric swatches to help you choose the perfect finish before ordering.

To complete your bedroom, we also offer upholstered bed frames in 80cm x 200cm size, finished in the same fabric as your headboard. You can also add a matching bed valance (bed skirt) for a smart, coordinated look.

While UK small single beds measure 750mm x 1900mm (2ft 6), European small single beds are slightly wider and longer at 800mm x 2000mm (80cm x 200cm / 31.5 inches wide). Although the difference may seem small, it’s enough to affect the fit of a headboard — which is why we manufacture our 80cm headboards specifically for European bed frames and mattresses. If you're using two 80cm x 200cm beds side by side, they combine to create a European King size bed measuring 160cm x 200cm. This setup is popular in guest rooms or shared beds where individual comfort is key. We can manufacture a single 160cm-wide headboard, or two matching 80cm headboards to suit this configuration — just let us know your preference when ordering.
