Custom Emperor Upholstered Headboards – For 6ft 6 & 7ft Beds (2000mm / 2150mm Wide)
Our Emperor size upholstered headboards are designed and handmade in our Berkhamsted workshop, offering grand proportions, exceptional quality, and full customisation. Designed for larger beds, our Emperor collection is suitable for both standard emperor beds (2000mm x 2000mm / 6ft 6 x 6ft 6) and large emperor beds (2150mm x 2150mm / 7ft x 7ft) — both of which are popular in luxury bedrooms and bespoke setups.
Because emperor bed sizes can vary by manufacturer, we offer headboards exactly 2000mm or 2150mm wide to match your mattress or frame size. Other widths can also be manufactured on request.
With over 30 unique designs to choose from — including contemporary, traditional, shaped, buttoned, piped, and panelled or fluted options — you’ll be able to create a headboard that reflects your interior style. We also offer custom height options, whether you want a tall, elegant feature or something more understated.
Due to the size and weight of Emperor headboards, they are only available as wall mounted or floor standing units — bed-mounted struts are not used for Emperor size. Wall mounting provides a clean, modern appearance at any height, while floor-standing models offer stability and presence without attaching to the wall.
Each headboard is generously padded and fully upholstered by hand, using your chosen fabric from our collection of over 150 upholstery fabrics. These include textured linens, rich velvets, natural wools, and more. We can also work with your own material. Free fabric swatches are available on request to help you make the right choice.
For a complete bedroom look, we offer upholstered Emperor bed frames to match your chosen fabric, available in both 2000mm x 2000mm and 2150mm x 2150mm formats. Add a coordinating bed valance (bed skirt) for a soft, tailored finish around the base.
